"HIPAA
& Understanding the New Medicare Guidelines"
HIPAA is a hot topic for health care providers. As optometrists,
you need to be Medicare masters as a prerequisite to becoming
HIPAA compliant. Doctors that thoroughly understand the rules
of CPT & ICD-9 coding procedures have mastered the first step
to HIPAA compli- ance. After Medicare coding is covered this course
will cover HIPAA compliance as it relates to the optometrist.

"Ocular Anatomy and Physiology for the Optometric
Assistant"
The ability to identify and understand
the structures of the eye is a fundamental skill for
the optometric assistant. Knowledge of the structure
and function of the eye is helpful when interacting
with the patients in the practice, as well as triaging
patients for the practitioner with information on
the ocular structures and components of the visual
system.
"Assisting Your Doctor with Eye Diseases and
Other Ocular Disorders"
One of the aspects of working
with patients is that you never know what you will
be faced with. Outpatients can present the office
with any variety of symptoms. We need to be familiar
with these symptoms and how they should be managed
to assist the practitioner in providing our patients
with the best care possible. This course will discuss
ocular symptoms and the role of the paraoptometric
in the assessment, treatment and management of these
patients.

Advanced
Clinical Decision Making
Even the most experienced clinicians will be challenged by this
program. Learning modules increase cornea/external disease, retina
