Howard Woolf Honored with the Mel Waxman Award
BALTIMORE
Dr. Howard Woolf of Pasadena was presented with the Mel Waxman
Award at the Maryland Optometric Association's (MOA) 2006
Awards lunch on November 12 held at the exclusive Hyatt Regency
Baltimore in downtown Baltimore. The awards lunch is part
of the MOA's annual Convention and Education Forum.
Dr. Woolf was honored for his dedicated and loyal service
to the optometric profession and to the Maryland Optometric
Association. He was most notably recognized for his long-term
service to the association and for his role in promoting the
optometric profession throughout Maryland.
The convention was a successful weekend that treated participants
to educational courses, networking opportunities with fellow
professionals, and prestigious guest speakers that discussed
the latest updates on various topics in the Optometric profession.
The MOA is a non-profit professional association dedicated
to providing its members with the resources necessary to deliver
the highest standard of professional eye care to the citizens
of Maryland. It is the leader in providing continuing education
for doctors of optometry and the "Voice of Optometry"
before the Maryland General Assembly and the Board of Optometric
Examiners.
