Dr.
James Colgain Honored with OD of the Year Award
BALTIMORE
Dr. James Colgain of Bethesda was presented with the OD of
the Year Award at the Maryland Optometric Association's (MOA)
2006 Awards lunch on November 12 held at the exclusive Hyatt
Regency Baltimore in downtown Baltimore. The awards lunch
is part of the MOA's annual Convention and Education Forum.
Dr. Colgain was awarded for his many contributions and endless
dedication to the association. His educational "Steroids
Refresher" course that gave valuable updated information
to his fellow ODs was among his notable contributions to the
MOA.
The convention was a successful weekend that treated participants
to educational courses, networking opportunities with fellow
professionals, and prestigious guest speakers that discussed
the latest updates on various topics in the Optometric profession.
The MOA is a non-profit professional association dedicated
to providing its members with the resources necessary to deliver
the highest standard of professional eye care to the citizens
of Maryland. It is the leader in providing continuing education
for doctors of optometry and the "Voice of Optometry"
before the Maryland General Assembly and the Board of Optometric
Examiners.
